About The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available within Zespri's Operations Support Team in Berchem, Antwerp. The Supply Chain Assistant is responsible for taking care of packaging materials, transport management, fruit quality claims, and supporting the team with other tasks such as reporting and data analysis.
Accountabilities
- Take responsibility for the planning and execution of operational activities. Focus on accurate stock management and handle exception management with care.
- Follow up on planned loadings, ensure stock and packhouse production are in line with orders planned for loading. In case of deviation ensure customers are informed timely. Providing customers with loading details on a daily basis (GGN/grower information).
- Claims; handling of new claims, creating claims on behalf of our customers, follow up on (ad-hoc) customer requests, processing results and/or closing of claims. Weekly reporting of claims YTD to compare actuals versus budget and focus on keeping pending claims within agreed limits.
- Manage the weekly reporting on requirement of packaging materials: follow up on sales orders, packhouse consumption and deliveries. Review the data and ensure the Operations Supervisor is informed in case of expected shortages. Take care of sales orders for packaging materials; ensure correct processing is accomplished both internal as well as with our external service providers
- Act as a back-up for the billing process, ensure all deliveries are processed prior to the daily billing run. Coordinate timings of the billing run.
- Together with the Operations Support team, perform tasks that ensure an efficient flow of operational processes and proactively respond to customer requirements.
- Take care of required reporting, analyse data, propose and implement changes and improvements
Qualifications & Experience
We are ideally looking for a driven, energetic individual who has completed a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Management or Finance. You will also have:
- 3+ years’ experience within Food Production, FMCG, Logistics or Retail industries
- An eye for detail
- Flexible and friendly attitude
- Ablity to handle various tasks during your working day
- A Team player mindset, being collaborative and a good communicator
- Good Business Acumen
- Fluent in English
