About Our Client
Our client is a market leader in the tertiary education industry. Due to some exciting projects within the organisation, an opportunity has arisen to recruit a Financial Analyst to join the team.
Job Description
- Provide ad hoc student load analysis.
- Prepare financial budgets in TM1 including analysis and reconciliation.
- Monitor and review monthly performance of Business Units including variance analysis, commentary and preparation of monthly Business Unit reports.
- Monitor and review Business Unit budgets.
- Consolidate, review and validate student load numbers provided by School for input into Budget.
- Create insightful models to analyse strategic decisions
- Prepare professional and to-the-point Powerpoint presentations
- Address ad-hoc Data Warehouse queries using Cognos BI
- Prepare and upload journals into Oracle, TM1 and reconcile account balances
- Partner invoices: analysis, reconciliation and reporting
- Provide support to the Senior Business Analyst and Manager, Business Insights during peak periods
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have a background working in a similar Financial Analyst role. Key traits will also include:
A qualification in a relevant field.- Working knowledge of accounting concepts, principles, practices, and procedures, and of computer-based accounting systems.
- The ability to develop realistic financial models.
- Experience of using Cognos BI, Excel and Powerpoint to intermediate level.
