Internship Description
This internship will emphasize strongly on both process and technology. During on-the-job training, the intern will be exposed to a continuous stream of opportunities to participate directly in real-world projects and make active contributions. The intern will be provided with regular, constructive feedback, and may be offered a full-time position conditional upon positive performance appraisal. Overall, the intern will play a supporting/mentee role in Electronics design, prototyping, testing and documentation activities.
Requirements
- Minimum Polytechnic Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
- Able to commit to at least 3 months of internship
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design and analysis of circuit diagrams
- Assist in measurements on electronic circuit boards
- Assist in prototyping and testing of electronic circuit boards
- Generate documentation related to electronics design
- Liaising with sub-contractors/external consultants
Learning Opportunities/Areas
- Exposure to microcontroller-based embedded system design
- Exposure to protocols such as I2C, SPI etc.
- Hands-on experience in using EDA tools like Altium Designer, KiCAD etc.
- Develop experience with various measurement equipment such as oscilloscope, DVMs etc.
- Develop experience and skill in using soldering station, rework station etc.
- Exposure to Embedded systems programming
- Exposure to component selection process, generation of BOM, Productization process etc.
